With the arrival of spring sunshine, we're inspired to throw open the windows and doors and breath some new life into our homes. And with all this fresh air comes fresh ideas. It's around this time of year that we start to redecorate our homes in our head. And of course the nursery and kids rooms are the best fun to decorate. So, we've come up with some quick and cost effective ways of refreshing your nursery or child's room.

1. Tree Top Friends wall decal from Skip*Hop - This is absolutely one of our favourite nursery decorations! It instantly adds life and fun to your nursery. The Tree Top Friends range from Skip*Hop uses neutral, pastel colours and comes with a range of accessories from stroller toys to activity gyms to soft books and toys. RRP €17.50. 2. Zoo Hampers & Bins from Skip*Hop - A cheeky incentive to encourage your little one to tidy up. The Zoo Hampers folds down flat and ties with velcro when not in use and kids can pop it into it's bag and bring it with them to visit friends and family. We all know they'd appreciate a tidy visitor! The Zoo bins are ideal if you have the Expedit Bookcase from Ikea or similar. The inner dimensions of the bookcase are 32cm and the Zoo Bin 28cm - it fits perfectly! And for those obsessed with owls, Skip*Hop have you sorted, the hamper and bin are both available in their owl design. RRP from €13.50
3. UPPAbaby Laundry Hamper - UPPAbaby have come up with a fantastic solution for your bassinet stand. Once your child is finished in the bassinet, you can buy a bespoke canvas fabric and convert your bassinet stand into a stylish double compartment laundry basket. We love fact that you can continue to use the stand even after you have moved into the cot. RRP €54.95.
4. Pixie Night Light from Beaba - Place a nightlight in your child's room to add a warm glow. The erogonomic LED light makes it ideal for toilet training during the night. Your child can pick it up from the dock and carry it safely around with him like a lantern. RRP €39.95
5. Magic Black Out Blind - A great product for this time of year, as the evenings begin to get brighter and body clocks begin to adjust to waking up earlier and staying up later! The magic blackout blind sticks directly to the glass and peels off easily so you can bring it with you on holiday or just for sleepovers in nana & grandads! The best part is it requires no tools to put up, simply cut to size and stick to the window. You will be thankful for this when the sun rises at 5.30am. RRP €35.

Valentine's Day is a lovely opportunity to take out the brightly coloured card, pinking shears and all things fiddly and shiny. You can pick up simple things like glue and coloured card board in a stationary or book store. Items like goggle eyes always brighten up an art project and are a cheap purchase from your local craft shop. Or why not pop into your local tailor or dress maker and see if they have any material scraps to donate. If all else fails, there's always inspiration to be found in nature, double the crafty fun by taking a stroll in a nearby woods or head to the beach and keep an eye out for drift wood & quirky shells.
We've been scouring the internet gathering craft ideas from simple to intricate. We've even included some suggested gifts for your beloved other half. We've also included some neat Valentine recipes to really let them know you care!

My nieces LOVE pureed fruit and smoothies. They're so handy, especially when we have a bit of sunshine, just throw a couple into a lunch bag and you have handy snacks / drinks. But if, like me, you enjoy making fresh smoothies (my smoothie maker would be one of my desert island must haves!), but don't really have a way of bringing those homemade treats on the road or even sending them to school without worrying about lunch rules or if your child will be able to open it, then you probably go through those silver pouches like they're going out of fashion.
One of my favourite brands, Beaba, have come up with a truely genius solution. Firstly, Beaba products look great, they use bright colours which kids love and ergonomic design, perfect for little handies! Beaba are all about serving the freshest homemade foods to your little one and they have developed lots of great gadgets to help you out with this (the Babycook & Babycook Duo being one of their most popular). The Beaba Babypote has been made specifically for the purpose of bringing homemade fruit compotes on the road and they really have thought of everything!
- Silicone bottle for easy pressing - make sure you can get every last bit of that delicious fresh fruit out!
- Large neck for easy filling and cleaning. The opening is big enough for a bottle brush, LOVE!
But don't just take our word for it, here's a great review from a Mummy Blogger on Apartment Therapy. She dubs it the "Fruit Flask".
To even further sweeten the deal the Babypote is 49% off, reduced from €13.95 to €7.12. We only have 5 left in the current stock, so act fast!

For babies who haven't quite gotten to the fruit puree stage of feeding, we've also reduced the Beaba Bib'Car by 49% from €24.95 €12.70. Simply plug into your cigarette lighter in your car and heat your baby's bottle on the go. Another great idea!
Enjoy the sunshine!

Fitness instructor and owner of Power Fit, Naomi Power tried our Phil & Ted's Escape Carrier. Here's how she got on:

"I have been using the Phil & Ted Escape for the past 3 weeks. I have 2 children, Jack aged 5 months
& Alex aged 2yrs and I find the Escape great as I can use it for both of them. In practical terms it's very secure and effortless to put on, and the baby sits in with ease.
Jack felt
supported enough in the back to carry around and on a personal note, I love that your baby can
face outwards once they have decent head control. It's such a great investment, the
harness feels very secure, Jack is so comfy in it. My daughter Alex, is 2yrs and she really loved it. It's strong, compact & very comfortable on your back. Great for walking, hiking, picnics, parades or anywhere there are lots of people around and it gives curious minds a birds eye view! As you can see Alex was in her element! I even used it for a trip to Ikea, it was perfect especially with 2 young children.
Thanks Clever Clogs! :)
